I'm in the O.O.W. Club (Outrageous Older Woman)

I consider myself an outrageous older woman. I apologize for nothing. I wear outrageous outfits and colors. I create outrageous art. It is what it is and I am who I am. I have a great deal of opinions and if you're lucky I just may let you in on them. I do not tolerate rude, abusive, mean, discourteous people, nor bullies of any size, shape, color or religion. I am a left wing liberal and make no apologies for such.(Go Obama) I love laughing, nature, Mother Gaia, vegetarianism, animals, any body of water, slow walks on a beach or in the woods, candlelight, campfires, music of all kinds, learning new things (especially any new form of art), reading tarot cards, beading, sewing, sculpting, incense, and reading. Being a Grandma is the best and "mostest" fun of all!

An Incredible Author

Maurice Sendak author of Where The Wild Things Are and other children's stories has passed to the Summerland on Tuesday. He was an fabulous writer. He will forever live in our hearts and imaginations. I remember discovering him for the first time when I had taken a children's literature class in college. At the time my own daughters were young. I purchased his book right off.  They loved it as I read it to them. Remember to always read stories to your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or any child possible. They will forever be blessed for it. My daughters are now reading to my grandchildren. My mother always made certain there were books in the house for us kids as we did for our children and our grown children are doing for their children.
